36th Annual Pelham Art Festival

Southern Ontario's Premier Spring Art Exhibition since 1988

Beginning its 36th year in 2023, the Pelham Art Festival show and sale is a showcase of original artwork by Canadian fine art artists and artisans that takes place in the Accipiter Arena at the Meridian Community Centrelocated at 100 Meridian Way in the Village of Fonthill, Town of Pelham, in the heart of the Niagara Region every Mother’s Day weekend. Beginning in 2021, Pelham Art Festival Online is featured year-round on our new e-commerce website platform.

For May 2023, the In-person 36th Annual Pelham Art Festival on Mother’s Day weekend from May 12 to 14, 2023 talented Artists, ambitious advertising, a new e-commerce website, social media and regular committee brainstorming keep the show vibrant as one of the longest-running spring art Festivals in the Province! Concurrent plans have been made for Pelham Art Festival Online on our new e-commerce website from May 8 to 18, 2023 to mark the 36th season. Pelham Art Festivals continue to be promoted and presented in an exciting, safe format for artists, art lovers and collectors so fundraising efforts to support the Lincoln Pelham Library and fine art scholarships can continue.

Over 70 contemporary visual artists and artisans, who collectively present thousands of choices in a vibrant array of styles, mediums and messages, come together to showcase and sell their original fine art directly to the public. Side by side established artists and undiscovered talents sell their artwork to the public and make lasting connections with art patrons and collectors. The artist is always present at the In-person Pelham Art Festival. The artists' galleries and their artworks on Pelham Art Festival Online are available for contact on their posted emails and social media year-round.

Thousands of visitors, art lovers and collectors come to Pelham every year to discover new works and new talents in a vibrant and welcoming environment. Since 1988, our visitors have spent over one million dollars on buying art, contributing to the economic prosperity of our participating artists and the cultural vibrancy of Pelham. Since 2021, thousands of visitors, art lovers and collectors have discovered artworks in artists' galleries on the Pelham Art Festival Online show and sale. We are known for hosting nationally and internationally acclaimed Canadian artists including Robert Amirault, Rosemarie Armstrong, Janny Fraser, Linda Kemp, George Langbroek, Doug Mays, Sonja Mortimer, Edward Spera, Josh Tiessen and Steve Wilson to name a few.

Together with our committed and generous community of donors, we celebrate artistic excellence and our artists’ entrepreneurial spirit.

We are a proud community sponsor of Lincoln Pelham Public Libraries and the arts

Festival proceeds benefit the Lincoln Pelham Library and provide annual scholarships to graduating Pelham students who are pursuing post-secondary studies in fine art from E.L. Crossley Secondary School and Notre Dame College School. The Festival also supports various community art projects. Pelham Art Festival has proudly donated over $472,500 back to the community to date. 

Following Niagara Region Public Health rules together with our committed and generous community of donors, we will celebrate artistic excellence and our artists’ entrepreneurial spirit! Artists will participate with the same overall intention to raise funds to donate to the Lincoln Pelham Library System, art scholarships and community art projects.
