Since 1979, Dundas Cactus Festival has been organized by local volunteers. The current Board represents 180 combined years with the Festival. Occurring every 3rd weekend in August, the FREE festival attracts over 100,000 visitors and is the unofficial ‘homecoming’ for the community, attended by generations of families loyally returning to relive memories of growing up attending the Festival and attracting many new visitors each year . The 1 km stretch of King Street in Downtown Dundas is closed for 3 days to host events/activities for all ages, including 4 programmed stages, Licenced Patio, Family Fun Zone and 145 vendors.
