The Hike Haliburton Festival has been running since 2003 (one of Canada's longest running 'guided hiking' festivals) and typically held in September. In 2020 the festival expanded with the creation of a Winter Edition that is held in February.
Since the start, the festival has been connecting passionate volunteer hike leaders with experience seekers. Whether they are long distance hike leaders, dedicated naturalists, knowledgeable geologists, or engaging storytellers, they will make the stunning landscape and rich cultural history of the Haliburton Highlands come alive as participants are led on the Guided Hikes on various public and private properties throughout the County.
