Anishinaabe Keeshigun - Fort William Historical Park

For over 40 years, Fort William Historical Park’s Anishinaabe Keeshigun has been providing visitors with engaging interactive experiences that celebrate Anishinaabe culture, traditions, language, and technology. This weekend event expands on the Fort William historic site’s daily hands-on activities and demonstrations that showcase Anishinaabe lifestyle and the significant technological contributions Indigenous Peoples shared with the Europeans. Fort William Historical Park is located on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe, represented today by Fort William First Nation, signatory to the Robinson Superior Treaty of 1850.
