Markham and York Region

Judi has worked and volunteered throughout Markham and York Region extensively over the last 30+ years, organizing and chairing dozens of events and festivals including the Markham Jazz Festival, Markham Village Music Festival, Unionville Olde Tyme Christmas Candlelight Parade, Globalfest - Markham's PanAm Festival, Markham Classic Car Show, Markham's Canada Day Events, the World Town Crier Championships in Markham and many more. She served as the Manager of the Markham Village BIA, the Executive Director of the Markham Arts Council and Executive Director of the Unionville BIA.  Judi continues to volunteer as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Markham Jazz Festival, and Vice Chair of York Region Arts Council, Vice President of the Markham Concert Band and Chair of the Markham Village Music Festival.  She is currently the Business Manager of Stiver Mill Farmers’ Market and in her free time enjoys the theatre, playing the flute, and taking walks.

Judi is the recipient of the City of Markham Achievement and Civic Recognition Award, the Markham Board of Trade Volunteer of the Year and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Judi served on the Festivals and Events Board from 1999 to 2001.
