Experience a festival of German Christmas at Kitchener’s Christkindl Market. 

Since medieval times, the Christmas season has been brought to life in towns and cities across Germany with outdoor markets. They feature handmade ornaments, delectable food and traditional song and dance performances. This tradition was brought to Waterloo Region in 1997.

Kitchener’s Christkindl Market features over 100 vendors selling traditional, handcrafted items, as well as sweet and savoury German-inspired treats. Listen to live bands, sing along with a choir. Bring your skates and glide around the holiday rink, and warm up with a glass of gluwein!
